China – music industry market report
This report gives an overview of how the music market and the music ecosystem works in China. In this introductory chapter, some insights are provided for those seeking to understand better how to start exporting music into China.
This report is the results of desk research and interviews conducted in the spring of 2022, as well as drawn from sources provided by Tom Fleming Creative Agency. Also, the current report draws on an earlier market study conducted by KEA Europen Affairs in 2018.
This report was created as one of the deliverables of the project “Implementing steps to develop and promote European Music Export” (2021–2022). The project was funded by the European Commission.
