EMEE Welcomes Three New Members
Following the EMEE General Assembly at ESNS this year The EMEE network is growing, we are delighted to confirm the membership of three new music export organisations (MEOs) bringing the network to 33 organisations from 29 European countries. The new members are as follows:
- Westside Music (Sweden) – Westside Music passionately supports the indie music scene out of Gothenburg and Västra Götaland, built as a platform around 60 indie partners. The company works with international live opportunities, media productions and releases, and hosts Viva Sounds — the annual indie music festival and conference held in Gothenburg in November.
- Bulgarian Music Association (Bulgaria) – Bulgarian Music Association represents professional music performers of all genres, advocating for their rights and uniting their voices. Established in 2012, BMA plays a key role in the cultural sector, supporting career growth, international exchange, and the export of Bulgarian artists while working to enhance their working conditions and cultural prestige.
- Emilia-Romagna Music Commission (Italy) – E-R Music Commission promotes and supports the music industry and the development of its artists and emerging artists in the field of pop, rock, electronic, jazz, world and experimental music. The export office is the latest function added to the services run by the Music Commission in strict collaboration with ATER Fondazione.
EMEE President, Corinne Sadki says, “We are delighted to welcome three esteemed members from both national and regional organisations to the expanding EMEE network. Strengthening and diversifying our network is essential to fostering a more cohesive and collaborative European export sector. By working together, we can drive meaningful progress, share valuable insights, and enhance cross-border cooperation. We look forward to engaging, learning, and collaborating with our new members to further our shared goals.”
Our new members look to the importance of being connected to other music export organisations through EMEE, with their own hopes for this collaboration:
Gianluca Giusti (Emilia-Romagna Music Commission) says, “We believe that participating in the life and activities of EMEE will be crucial in changing our mindset, expanding it and broadening our horizons. Music in its multiplicity of languages can only resist standardisation through cooperation with music lovers from all over the world.”
Mattias Tell (Westside Music) “We’re excited to join a diverse network of like-minded people pushing music across borders – to get inspired, gain insights and actively contribute to strengthening the community through collaboration and good practices.”
Mila Panayotova (Bulgarian Music Association) “By joining EMEE, we aim to connect, collaborate, and create new pathways for Bulgarian artists to thrive across Europe.”
